Welcome to our class blog. We are a class of NE / Year 1 learners at Kaniere School on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand. We are looking forward to sharing some of our learning experiences with you.
This week we have been writing about minibeasts. We explored our own backyards to see what minibeasts we could find and we then wrote about them. On Friday we got to choose a minibeast and describe it, for others to guess. We thought it was lots of fun.
Have a read of them and see if you can guess the minibeast. Click on the bottom of the magnifying glass to discover if you are correct. A link will come up with the picture of the minibeast.
I love your what am I slides Weka Teina. Some of them were a bit tricky I had to think really hard. You have all been working very hard and that includes you Mrs Scott to do your work. Keep it up I love reading it all.
Hi Weka Tēina! I really liked reading your 'What am I?' writing. I can see that you have been doing some amazing thinking while you are learning at home. I am very proud of the words such as 'scent and colony' that you have used to help me work out what the mini-beasts are that you have written about. It is pretty exciting to click on your magnifying glasses and see if I have made the right guess or not! I can't wait to see what you write about next! Mrs Phelps
Hi Weka Teina! Your slide is really awesome! I like that everyone contributed to it. There were really good clues, as they really made me think and I learned some interesting facts. I am looking forward to seeing your next creation.
